My name is Andi “Polarist” Estrada. My work gravitates mainly towards expressing myself through colorful ceramics, glitch art, animation, and the magical syncretism of music with moving images.

From a very early age, I found an interest in the arts and animation, especially the plastic techniques like sculpting, stop motion animation, and stamp, which led me to study Visual Arts and helped me express my point of view through different techniques.
Although it was something that caught my attention long before, it wasn’t until 2016 that I took a step into the world of VJing with a tribute to my hero: David Bowie, from then on I’ve participated in many music shows mixing my animated visuals. Nowadays I’m part of the Cenzontlech Collective.
I’ve made animated sets and animated narrative for the teatre plays: Breve Elogio Sobre La Arritmia & Angelique. I’ve also had the opportunity to work as a colorist and cleanup artist in several short animated films like “Gina”, nominated for an Ariel award, Dimensional Warriors from Numecaniq, and more recently Two Chameleons with the direction of Casiopea Studio for Cartoon Network Latin America.
Since 2019 I’ve worked in the art department for movies and tv ads making art for sets and props.
I’ve given workshops on experimental animation and gifs, and I’ve taken workshops for experimental pottery, photography, ink illustration, and live visuals.

Soy Andi E. Vivo y trabajo en la Ciudad de México, mi trabajo gravita principalmente hacia la cerámica, los colores brillantes, el arte glitch, las animaciones surrealistas y el sincretismo mágico entre la música y las imágenes en movimiento.

Me encantaría escuchar de tu proyecto 🙂Desde muy pequeña, me interesé por las artes y la animación, especialmente las técnicas plásticas como el modelado, stop motion y la estampa, lo que me llevó a estudiar Artes Visuales, ayudándome a expresar mis ideas y emociones. Aunque era algo que llamaba mi atención desde hacía ya mucho tiempo, hasta 2016 di un paso en el mundo del VJing con un homenaje a mi héroe: David Bowie, desde entonces he participado en muchas presentaciones musicales mezclando mis visuales animados en vivo. En la actualidad soy parte del colectivo multidisciplinario: Cenzontlech.
He creado sets y narraciones animadas para las obras de teatro: Breve Elogio Sobre La Arritmia & Ángelique. También tuve la oportunidad de trabajar como colorista y cleanup en varios cortometrajes de animación como “Gina”, nominada para un premio Ariel, Dimensional Warriors de Numecaniq y más recientemente Dos Camaleones con la dirección del Estudio Casiopea para Cartoon Network Latinoamérica.
Desde 2019, trabajo en el departamento de arte para películas y comerciales haciendo arte para sets y props.
He impartido talleres de animación experimental y gifs, y he tomado talleres de cerámica experimental, fotografía, ilustración en tinta y visuales en vivo
